We all know how frustrating it can be. 'Something' is eating your clematis or broccoli or roses or boxwood, leaving leaves and /or blossoms tattered or missing in action! You know from your integrated pest management training that step one in controlling the problem is identifying the 'pest'. Two wings or four? Sucking mouthparts or chewing mouthparts? Short or bristly antennae? Join us to learn how to use a dichotomous key and make the correct identification of your garden pest easier.

MSU Extension Instructor Abi Saeed is offering a day of interactive, hands-on entomology education.

The day will include:

Basics of insect biology
Overview of common insect orders
Instructions on the use of a dichotomous key
Working with a dissecting microscope, and
Discussion about insect ecology and the importance to gardeners
Join us for this fun and informative class. Space is limited to 35 participants so don't delay - register today!

Registration deadline: Monday, November 13th, 2017 or until the class is full.
No registrations at the door.
