Description of the Event: This free program is open to anyone interested in learning more about Michigan State University's Smart Gardening initiative. A presentation will be given on Smart Gardening - Season Extension and home gardeners will learn methods to extend their growing season. Season Extension supplies will be on hand; a demonstration will also be provided on how to install and use row covers in a home gardening setting. Door prize will be awarded.
Following the presentation, a tour will be given of the Serenity Garden at OSF which is a Michigan Extension Advanced Master Gardener volunteer project.
After the tour, a Michigan Extension Master Gardener potluck will take place. Anyone is welcome to participate in the potluck; please bring a dish to pass.
