2015 Smart Gardening Conference

What’s the buzz about Smart Gardening? From the sound of bees to the roar of the mower, Extension Master Gardeners are harnessing the power of MSUE’s Smart Gardening messages to learn more about being environmentally savvy and “smart”!

The 2015 Smart Gardening Conference in Grand Rapids, will celebrate biodiversity and sustainability in landscape design, smart veggie gardens and will pack a punch with news on harnessing beneficial insects.

With a long history of providing winter respite and science-based education, the conference is sure to leave you feeling refreshed!  Following last year’s presentation from Dr. Douglas Tallamy (Bringing Nature Home), noted author, horticulturist and photographer Rick Darke (The Living Landscape-2015) is scheduled as the Keynote presenter.  His captivating images and earth-friendly message will inspire and enrich a Smart Gardener’s journey during this day-long event.

Click here to register for this conference.  Your conference registration includes a two-day pass to the West Michigan Home and Garden show where garden displays are sure to refresh and invigorate you after a long winter.    Overnight lodging is also available at the Amway Grand Plaza where participants will receive a special rate if you mention the West Michigan Home and Garden Show.

This event is open the public so please bring your gardening friends!
