Description of the Event: A lifelong birder and author of Field Guide to Birds of Michigan, Allen is founder and project director of Great Lakes HummerNet. He has been a bird bander since 1997 and a hummingbird bander since 2000. Allen will share information on the research objectives of this project and offer ways to participate. We will learn about the different hummingbird species that occur in our area, as well as gardening tips and hints on attracting and feeding them.
