Description of the Event: THE DOW GARDENS KNOW AND GROW SEMINAR 2017

BARBARA DAMROSCH - Barbara has worked professionally in the field of horticulture since 1977. She writes,
consults and lectures on gardening and farming and is co-owner, with her husband Eliot Coleman, of Four Season Farm, an experimental market garden in Harborside, Maine.

CRAIG LEHOULLIER - An avid gardener since 1981, he has been known as NC Tomatoman. Some know him as the fellow who named Cherokee Purple in 1990. To others, he is the author of the books "Epic Tomatoes" or "Growing Vegetables in Straw Bales," the co-host of "Tomatopalooza," a co-leader of the Dwarf Tomato Breeding Project, or
just the odd person with a garden where the driveway used to be. He is the tomato nut with a website, a blog, a newsletter (on occasion), and a huge tomato, pepper and eggplant collection. Really, all he is, is Craig LeHoullier - someone that heirloom tomatoes chose to help participate in their continued relevance.

BILLSHORES - Bill Shores has been professionally involved in small-scale, intensive gardening and food
production since 1993. Bill specializes in space-efficient gardening systems suited to the urban/suburban environment including container gardens, indoor gardens, raised beds, rooftop gardens, and intensely planted small space, in-ground gardens, all of which utilize season extension, composting and plant propagation techniques.

MARKETPLACE - Dow Gardens proudly supports The Midland Master Gardeners, who host an array of vendors from across the state to create one-of-a-kind marketplace. Visit the gymnasium to find your treasure!!
