Description of the Event: Join the Montcalm Conservation District, Montcalm Area Master Gardener Association and the West Michigan Conservation Network for an afternoon workshop on invasive species. Topics covered include:
Invasive species introduction, definition and concerns
Detection, reporting and treatment of invasive species in Montcalm County
What is a CISMA?
Aquatic invasive species
Introduction to the development of a bird habitat & pollinator garden on the campus of Montcalm Community College

Following the indoor presentations, attendees will go outside to the location of the future habitat/garden to see invasive plants, treatment and removal. Dress appropriately for walking around in fields and long grass.
