Description of the Event:

Freshwater and land are the most important natural resources we have on earth. Both are necessary for us to survive. On Saturday, November 11, learn how together we can protect Detroit's water and land for generations to come.

Join the Land + Water WORKS Coalition for a morning of presentations, demonstrations and resources at the Land + Water WORKS Forum. Hear from groups that have installed green stormwater infrastructure projects in their neighborhoods and learn about how the City of Detroit's Department of Water and Sewerage is leading the way. Attendees will visit rotating stations hosted by land and water stewards and meet with organizations including Detroit Future City, The Eastside Community Network, EcoWorks, Friends of the Rouge, Sierra Club Great Lakes, Great Communities, Keep Growing Detroit, Michigan Community Resources, The Greening of Detroit, Detroit Land Bank Authority, and more!

Free parking is available on site. Continental breakfast will be provided.
